Digital Advertising Junior Creative Strategist Washington, D.C. / Berkeley, CA

Trilogy is looking for a Digital Advertising Junior Creative Strategist to join us in Washington, DC or  Berkeley, CA to help us develop creative for smart, aggressive campaigns that help our clients reach -- and exceed -- their goals.


As an Digital Advertising Creative Strategist, you will be responsible for helping our team of strategists and designers develop creative for use in industry-leading advertising campaigns.

To accomplish this, our Digital Advertising Strategist needs to:

  • Brainstorm creative concepts that will help our advertising campaigns maximize the KPIs of a particular program (acquisition, brand awareness, persuasion, etc).

  • Write creative briefs for visual designers and participate in creative development for a variety of ad formats and platforms (Facebook, Search, Programmatic, etc).  

  • Collaborate with Strategists to develop compelling, optimized, and effective ad copy for use in a variety of formats.

  • Using analytics, best practices and your knowledge of the targets, help match the most compelling designs with the most impactful copy to maximize the effectiveness of our advertising units.

  • Participate in firm-wide creative brainstorming and provide feedback to designers and project leads on newly-developed creative elements.


Ideal candidates will be college graduates with at least 2 years of professional political, nonprofit, or digital agency experience with some involvement in digital advertising and/or creative development. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about digital advocacy and marketing and are committed to making a difference for our clients. Strong communications skills are a must.

  • You are practical. You are able to work within the political constraints of a given client and draw from polling memos and other background materials to generate producible ad concepts.

  • You are organized: You are able to work on a variety of projects at the same time, each with their own client teams and goals, and you are committed to following a rigorous project-management  process.

  • You are curious about advertising: What's the newest digital advertising trend? How can we use new techniques in our work?


While not required, we find that familiarity with the following techniques and technologies is helpful in this role. Please tell us if you have experience with:

  • Advertising reporting, website analytics, and other performance metrics

  • Test design and interpretation

  • Graphic design and video production

  • Copywriting
