Campaign Execution: Manage all facets of campaign execution, including working with buying platforms such as Facebook, Google, DataXu, and other programmatic platforms, with significant emphasis on Facebook buying. Ensure proper tracking and delivery of impressions, reach, performance, and budgets.

Campaign Planning: Develop media plan recommendations based on client budgets, target audiences, core objectives, and key performance indicators.

Data and Insights: Create, analyze, and disseminate campaign reports. Explain why “creative A” worked better than “creative B.” Take the lead on monitoring campaign performance and developing optimization strategies for digital placements.

Internal Communication: Maintain excellent communication within the media vertical, operating transparently with senior management and junior associates. Build rapport and work effectively across account management, operations, and creative teams.

Market Research: Continually keep track of the advertising and technology marketplace. Present key trends in the media buying, creative, and advertising worlds. Develop personal expertise in your areas of interest.


  • BA, BS or equivalent academic or practical experience
  • Minimum of one year of prior media planning/buying experience at a digital agency
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Eagerness to analyze data and tell stories through insights and analysis
  • Self-motivation and a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time, for long periods of time
  • Strong capacity to take personal pride in the quality of their work
  • Ability to professionally and respectfully disagree in a constructive manner
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (or Google/Apple equivalent products)

Although political expertise is not a necessity to qualify for this position, you should at least be intrigued by progressive candidates, causes, and organizations. Our team of highly experienced strategists will be available to help provide guidance, but a personal interest in politics will help you immensely.

Location: Berkeley, CA or Washington, DC

Salary: $65,000-$70,000 per year, depending on experience
