Project Lead - Washington, DC Washington, D.C.

Do you love working with people and building long term relationships? Are you organized and passionate about all things digital and progressive politics? Do you have experience managing a team and wrangling partners to meet aggressive deadlines and goals?

If so, we have an amazing opportunity for you, helping to lead our digital marketing team in Washington, DC. Trilogy Interactive manages digital marketing programs for progressive political campaigns, organizations, and non-profits, so if you want to use digital advocacy to positively impact your community and your country, please apply today.

As a Project Lead on the Trilogy Interactive strategic services team, you will manage a client team with a Strategist and a Producer, while also assisting with business development and managing our DC office. Drawing on your strong experience with digital marketing and team management, you will develop innovative digital advocacy, fundraising, and advertising campaigns for our clients.

To accomplish that, our Project Leads need to:

  • Independently manage client relationships and an internal team of digital and communications strategists, including day-to-day management of your team’s workload and long-term management of their growth
  • Lead conference calls, including creating and sending call agendas
  • Develop and manage client budgets. Ensure all overages and out-of-scope requests are approved by client
  • Manage the content development -- include email, advertising, social media, and multimedia content -- production, reporting, and optimization of clients' campaign plans. Provide final internal approval for all client deliverables
  • Advise and collaborate with Trilogy's design and development team on significant client interactive projects, including but not limited to campaign websites and microsites
  • Work with Strategists and Producers to develop testing plans, analyze results, and report back to clients
  • Research and implement new digital advertising and marketing strategies and tactics
  • Manage Trilogy's DC office logistics, including serving as the primary liason to the on-site WeWork team
  • Leverage relationships for business development, participate in marketing and proposal development, and represent Trilogy at industry conferences

Ideal candidates will be college graduates with at least 5 years of professional political, nonprofit, or digital agency experience who are passionate about digital advocacy and marketing and are committed to making a difference for our clients. Strong quantitative and communications skills are a must, as are demonstrated team and project management skills.

People with all types of experiences, backgrounds and interests can excel at this position. But we find that the following traits are common among successful Project Leads:

  • You are organized: You find pleasure in guiding multiple people through dozens of tasks and assignments at once without ever missing a beat, and enjoy developing systems to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks
  • You love building relationships: Your communications in person or by phone and email aren't just about the next task, but also about growing a longterm report with clients, partners, and fellow team members
  • You've got a political gut: Clients trust you because they know you get it: the politics, the context, the positions, and the issues that drive them
  • You are curious: What's the newest digital organizing trend? How can we use today's news in our work? What's going on in a client's community?
  • You are a leader: You take an interest in the personal and professional growth of your fellow team members

While direct technical execution is not a required function of this role, we find that familiarity with the following techniques and technologies is helpful in performing the role of a Project Lead at Trilogy:

  • Website analytics and other performance metrics
  • Digital advertising and related performance analysis
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and/or Javascript
